    Executive Vice President — Payment Services
    Discover Financial Services

    Diane E. Offereins is Executive Vice President, Payments Services for Discover Financial Services and a member of the Discover Financial Services Executive Committee. She is responsible for Discover® Network, PULSE and Diners Club International and serves as CEO of PULSE, a Discover Financial Services company and one of the nation's leading debit/ATM networks.

    From 1998 to December 2008, Ms. Offereins served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Discover. Before joining Discover in 1998, she served as Senior Executive Vice President for MBNA America with responsibility for managing the corporate system development with Hallmark Information Services. Prior to that, Ms. Offereins was Vice President of retail delivery systems and wholesale delivery systems for Bank of America in San Francisco for five years, and with Southeast Bank for nine years, where her last position was Vice President and Director of Application Development.

    Ms. Offereins has a B.B.A. in accounting from Loyola University. In addition to her responsibilities with Discover, she is a board member of the Children's Home + Aid and belongs to The Chicago Network.

    President

    David Schneider is President of PULSE, a Discover Financial Services company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Mr. Schneider also serves as a Senior Vice President of Discover and is a member of Discover's Management Committee. He is responsible for managing PULSE, and for evaluating debit growth opportunities.

    Before joining PULSE in September 2000, David was a partner in the Houston law office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., practicing in the Corporation, Banking and Business Department.

    David has a B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, from Tulane University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.

    Karen Gardstein
    Executive Vice President — Finance

    Karen A. Gardstein is Executive Vice President of Finance for PULSE.

    In addition to overseeing Finance for PULSE, Karen serves as Executive Sponsor for the Payments Lean Center of Excellence, a team of certified Lean Black Belts focused on the Payment Services line of business. Karen joined PULSE in 1996, prior to which she was a manager in Arthur Andersen's Computer Risk Management practice. She also previously worked in the securities industry as a registered investment advisor.

    Karen has an M.B.A. from the University of Houston with an emphasis in finance and management information systems. She has a B.S. in geology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

    Judith McGuire
    Executive Vice President — Product Management

    Judith McGuire is Executive Vice President of Product Management for PULSE. She has a track record of developing differentiated solutions and leading organizations in highly competitive environments. While she has a constant eye on the future, she also takes a pragmatic approach to investing resources in areas with near-term practical applications.

    Judith established the product management department at PULSE, one of the nation's leading debit/ATM networks. Her focus on team building and her passion for success have helped the organization adapt to fundamental changes in the payments industry. Through strategic product planning and development, Judith led PULSE's transition from a PIN network to a broader payments provider supporting the full range of debit transactions.

    Judith has an extensive background in the payments industry. She joined PULSE in 2002 and managed the acquiring side of the network's business until 2008. Previously, in her nine years in product development and marketing at First Data Corporation, she was instrumental in reducing the company's cost of sales and strengthening its product sets. She is a regular speaker at payments industry conferences.

    Judith has a B.A. in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. She is an advisor to the Buzz Points board of directors, a member of the Debit Network Alliance board of directors, a member of the advisory board for the Texas Nature Conservancy and participates in the National Charity League.

    Jennifer Schroeder
    Executive Vice President — Operations

    Jennifer Schroeder is Executive Vice President of Operations for PULSE.

    Jennifer joined PULSE in 2013. Her primary responsibility is management of the company's operations department, including processor services, production support, implementation, certification, compliance and fraud operations. Prior to joining PULSE, Jennifer worked for 20 years at Discover Financial Services managing operational and compliance relationships with merchants, acquirers, issuers and key vendors.

    Jennifer has a B.S. degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin.

    Executive Vice President — Marketing & Communications

    Steve Sievert is Executive Vice President of Marketing and Brand Communications for PULSE. Since joining PULSE in 2007, Steve has leveraged the full breadth of marketing and communications channels to help the company grow and strengthen relationships with core stakeholders. He brings a unique blend of strategic, creative and quantitative abilities to his work, utilizing current and emerging methods and technologies, including content strategy, engagement marketing and data analytics.

    Under Steve's leadership, PULSE was recognized by the American Marketing Association Houston chapter as the 2013 Marketer of the Year in Financial Services for its consultative approach to providing comprehensive marketing services to issuers.

    In addition to his team's leading-edge work in monitoring and enhancing customer experience, and advancing PULSE's inbound and outbound marketing strategies, Steve also oversees the network's professional development and training programs.

    Steve has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and communications, working for publicly traded and private companies. He serves on the board of directors of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas Education Foundation and previously served on the board of directors of the Houston chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Steve has a B.A. in journalism from the University of South Carolina and is pursuing a Master's in integrated marketing communications at Medill IMC at Northwestern University.

    Mike Urquizu
    Executive Vice President — Sales and Account Management

    Mike Urquizu serves as Executive Vice President, Sales and Account Management for PULSE.

    Mr. Urquizu joined PULSE in 2001 as a member of the PULSE Sales team responsible for direct sales in the Midwest U.S. As the Sales department expanded, he took on additional responsibility as PULSE's Vice President of Sales, managing the Direct Sales team. In 2009, Mike moved his family to Houston to work in PULSE's headquarters and today is a Discover Vice President and member of the PULSE executive team responsible for PULSE's Sales, Account Management, Business Development and Sales Operations/Analytics activities.

    Mike started his career with several positions in the banking industry, including 6 years at First Chicago (now Chase Bank), where he worked in Investment Operations and as a financial analyst for the company's credit card division. Moving into the payments business in 1995, Mike joined EDS as a sales executive in Consumer Network Services selling bank processing solutions to community and large banks and ATM/POS networks throughout the Midwest. Developing relationships in banking and payments organizations is ultimately what fueled a career in debit/payments. Mike holds a degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University.
